Our Ireland: A Musical Exploration of Ireland’s Multicultural Landscape

Through a unique fusion of musical styles, Our Ireland will weave a musical tapestry which explores not only the rich musical heritage of Ireland, but of the countries represented by the choir’s diverse and expansive membership, including Uganda, Croatia, India, Hungary, Nigeria, Japan and Ukraine.

This musical exploration will invite the audience to reflect on Irish identity, and what it means to them. This question will be further examined through the inclusion of new, original poetry, reflecting each performer’s unique vision of “Our Ireland”.

Supported by St. Patrick’s Festival x TikTok Creative Fund, Our Ireland will take place at 8pm on Friday 6th May, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1 in the heart of Dublin’s north east inner city.

The concert will also see the debut performance of Discovery’s brand new pop-up community choir which will perform alongside Discovery Gospel Choir on the night, following a series of community based workshops led by Discovery artists Justine Nantale and Mika Onodera.

Songs of Hope: A night of uplifting music in aid of Ukrainian refugees in Ireland

Join Cappella, Discovery Gospel Choir, Rejoice Gospel Choir & Fingal Gospel Choir in the beautiful surroundings of the Church of St. John The Baptist, Seafield Road West, Clontarf, on Tuesday 28th June for a night of uplifting gospel favourites, guaranteed to soothe your soul.

Proceeds from the event will go to two Irish charities supporting Ukrainian refugees in Ireland, Doras and the Irish Refugee Council.

Doras is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation working to promote and protect the rights of people from a migrant background in Ireland. Their vision for Ireland is a society where equality and respect for the human rights of migrants are social norms.

Their mission is to promote and uphold the human rights and well-being of migrants through personal advocacy, integration development and collaborative advocacy campaigns at the local and national level.

The Irish Refugee Council provides services and support for people seeking protection and people recognised as refugees in Ireland, and advocates for humane and dignified protection procedures and responses to people fleeing persecution.

The organisation works with people who have to flee their home country, as it is no longer safe for them to be there. The most visible example of this is people fleeing war or conflict.
